Clapham Service Terms

Welcome to Clapham Vehicle Hire Services. These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of our website carhireclapham.co.uk and our vehicle rental services. By using our services you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Clapham Rental Agreement

All vehicle rentals through Clapham are subject to a Rental Agreement provided at booking confirmation or at vehicle collection. The agreement sets out the terms, conditions, insurance provisions, charges and your responsibilities for the particular rental. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

2. Clapham Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Clapham, you must:

• Be at least 21 years old when renting with Clapham (age requirements may differ by vehicle type; extra charges may apply for drivers under 25). Hold a valid, full driving licence appropriate to the vehicle category, held for the minimum period set out in the Rental Agreement. Provide valid photo identification and proof of address, plus any other documents requested at collection.

3. Booking and Payment (Clapham)

• Bookings can be made through our website, by phone, or in person at our Clapham location. A booking deposit may be required to secure your reservation. Full payment and the security deposit are typically due on collection of the vehicle. All prices are in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable.

4. Vehicle Collection and Return (Clapham)

• When collecting a vehicle from Clapham, inspect it thoroughly and report any existing damage immediately. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed by you and a Clapham representative. Return the vehicle in the same condition as when collected, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and charged to you in line with Clapham's damage policy.

5. Insurance and Liability for Clapham

• Basic third-party insurance is included with all Clapham rentals. Full coverage information and the applicable excess amounts are set out in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be available to reduce your financial liability. We recommend reviewing these options carefully. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess amount stated in the Rental Agreement.

6. Cancellations and Amendments

Clapham's cancellation and amendment terms differ by booking type and notice period. Refer to your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for full details. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges.

7. Disallowed Uses

Clapham rented vehicles must not be used for:

• Any illegal purpose or activity. Racing, rallying, off-roading, or other hazardous activities. Transporting hazardous or dangerous materials. Sub-letting to third parties or allowing unauthorized drivers. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Purposes for which a Clapham vehicle is not intended...

Breaching these restrictions may result in immediate termination of your Clapham rental and additional charges.

8. Clapham Liability Limits

To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Clapham will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or loss of profits, data or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the total fees paid by you to Clapham for the relevant service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Applicable Law

These Terms applicable to Clapham are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to Clapham Terms

Clapham may modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of Clapham services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
